Open Houses
Open Houses on central campus, 1988
Open houses have been a focal point of VEISHEA since its
beginnings, providing an arena for student organizations and academic
departments to display their activities and accomplishments. The exhibits include demonstrations on many topics related to science and
agriculture, all kinds of entertainment, and refreshments. Many student groups sell items during VEISHEA in order to fund their
other activities. The dairy science
students sell ice cream made on campus and the Department of Apparel,
Educational Studies, and Hospitality Management sells cherry pies to fund
scholarships.
